“101 Mobility Mississauga Google Review 2024-09-25 Our advice to friends who want to install a home elevator is this: Do not wait till you cannot climb up the stairs, and Make sure you contact John Grant of 101 Mobility. The PVE pneumatic vacuum elevator is the most reliable and relatively the easiest to install but the planning and home modification required to ensure a successful installation can be challenging. We started planning back in… mid-May 2024, talking to another company that represented a different make of pneumatic vacuum elevator made in India. That company didn’t give us the confidence we need. While the sales representative was friendly and helpful, there’s a lack of technical assurance. Then it really put me off when the sales manager, whom I had never met, suddenly called me and tried to sweet talk me with some free upgrades (which were already promised by the sales representative), urging me to sign the contract before the end of the week, which was the next day. I had to start all over. I did more research and PVE popped up on my browser. (I wonder why it was always flooded with the other brand and no sight of PVE.) I requested for more info and John Grant of 101 Mobility Mississauga contacted me. During the first home consultation, John discussed with our family for almost two hours, carefully assessing the possibility of installing an elevator running through three floors. He took keen interest in understanding what each of us was expecting, and duly addressing our concerns. We knew he’s our man. After much follow-ups and Q&A back and forth, a detailed plan was mapped out, followed by a site visit with the 101 Mobility technical team (John Moniz, Sasha Saric and Pearse Grant) finalizing all the mechanical measurement, electrical requirements and installation procedures. We then spent 10 days for our contractor to complete the home modification and electrical work, while our made-to-measure PVE37 was being produced in the US. Another site visit was arranged just a week before the installation took place. The 101 Mobility team took the trouble to come in again to ensure that all the modifications and temporary alterations to facilitate the installation were in order. It took the factory exactly two months to manufacture and deliver to Canada as promised. Thanks to the meticulous planning before hand, the actual installation was a breeze. No more than 20 hours in total, over the course of two and a half days, and it’s up (and down) and running. Pearse and Sasha gave us detailed operation and emergency instructions, with unlimited free rides, and left us with a very informative user manual.
