The camp is in session!
At this year’s MDA Summer Camp, campers had the chance to show off their stellar Sci-Fi themed wheelchair costumes. Volunteers from 101 Mobility’s technical and design department helped create costume ideas for the campers. Throughout the week, the campers and counselors brought the ideas to life with a little help from their incredible imaginations.
Check out some photos below from their fun-filled costume parade!
Molly was so excited for the parade to start! Her butterfly wings were flowing with each turn around the gym!
Watch out as this dragon soars in the parade line!
This little girl hung out with fellow campers and counselors as she made her way around the gym.
Luke Skywalker even made an appearance!
Another dragon spotted inside the gym! The costumes were amazing!
The “Wonder Women” at the camp created this awesome banner to display for parents and counselors.
Campers became lifelong friends at their week-long MDA adventure.
This year, MDA summer camp was held at YMCA Camp Hanes in the beautiful and rural King, NC.
Parents, counselors, volunteers, and campers came together to celebrate their last day at the best camp ever!
We had a blast with our YMCA and MDA friends! Our team can’t wait to see everyone again next year!
