At 101 Mobility, we’ve found that certain performance indicators tend to be most compatible with our franchise system. Mike Gardner, Manager of Franchise Development, outlined five important attributes that, in his opinion, point to a mutually beneficial match. [Spoiler Alert: If you can play nice in the sandbox, one fifth of the battle is already won!]
- Attitude
The best franchisees are take-charge individuals. A 101 Mobility® franchise is a 100% full-time commitment; there is nothing telecommute about it. Franchisees should be results-focused risk takers who can keep their eye on the goal. Along with a bit of grit, an authoritative leadership style allows a franchisee to delegate tasks without losing time to oversee the entire operation.
- Business Acumen
Someone with an entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial spirit can excel with a 101 Mobility franchise. Business building experience can provide new franchisees with a leg-up in the beginning though plenty of resources are available for guidance. Once the initial launch period is over, the most important question is: Can you drive results?
- Sales Ability
Connecting with people is crucial. Being comfortable and consistently networking and nurturing relationships with local agencies who serve a similar demographic, are markers for success. Relationship development skills are a vital part of business.
- Resources
I work with prospective franchisees during the qualification process to help them answer questions such as: Do I have the resources to comfortably make initial investments in franchise fees and required infrastructures? Can I allocate the funds necessary to cover personal expenses while building up my business?
- Personality
We like to have fun! We love to see our communities soar alongside our businesses through community involvement projects. Doing the right thing is important to us and we’ll support franchisees who want to make their communities a happier and more accessible place via an in-house powerhouse marketing team and public relations assistance!
Do I need experience in the mobility industry?
Our system requires absolutely no industry experience. 101 Mobility franchisees have backgrounds in business, leadership, construction, and a variety of corporate environments. Some of our best owners had no industry experience whatsoever.
What does it take to be a top performing franchisee?
Prospective 101 Mobility franchisees should be able to work well with people and effectively manage a staff. Drive, hard work, perseverance, and passion for our industry, as well as the people who are our customers, is essential when aiming for the top.
