Most stairlifts are controlled by a button or switch placed in the unit’s arm rest. This controller may be placed on either arm rest – let our installers know which side you prefer to ensure easy operation. To operate your stairlift, simply press the button or rocker switch on the unit’s arm rest.
101 Mobility Ann Arbor’s stairlifts also come with a standard call/send switch, which is mounted on the wall near the bottom of the staircase. An additional switch may be added at the top of the staircase. This switch enables multi-user households to access the unit when necessary, and also provides a means to send the stairlift’s chair to a different position on the staircase and out of the way when not in use.
